A garden terrace that works in daylight and after dark.
An open terrace has to work in daylight, in monsoon and at eleven at night. It is built around a central illuminated bar so there is always a focal point, with banquette seating wrapped around the perimeter.
Cane, rattan and reeded timber keep the weight and the maintenance down, while dense overhead planting does what a ceiling cannot — it encloses a rooftop without closing it in.
